Our Story
Founded by a Mining Engineer
Rafique Shah & Co. was founded by Mining Engineer Syed Rafique Shah (Late), who was directly connected with the commercial explosives manufacturer Wah Nobel (Pvt) Ltd, part of the POFs Wah Cantt group. He was the first in-charge of its commercial explosives functions and later served Wah Nobel as a consultant on the manufacture, sale, storage, use and safe transportation of explosives and accessories.
Coming from the Salt Range, he helped replace the old, costly and hazardous black-powder methods used in the area's coal and salt mines with commercial explosives and modern, safer blasting techniques. That focus on safe, controlled blasting still shapes how the company works today.
