What types of projects do you take on?
Road and highway cuttings, dams and hydropower, tunnels and underground works, mining and quarrying, pipeline trenching, and civil or industrial sites that need rock removed. Every job is scoped around the site conditions and the project specification.
Do you provide licensed blasting engineers and shotfirers?
Yes. We provide blasting engineer and shotfirer services, subject to the qualifications and authorisations each project requires. Blasting is carried out under the applicable permissions and approved site procedures.
Can you supply the explosives for our project?
Commercial explosives and accessories are supplied through properly authorised channels, subject to the applicable licences and approvals. We can also assist with documentation for short-period explosives licences and explosives transportation licences.
Can you blast close to buildings, roads or live infrastructure?
Yes, with the right controls. Blast design is matched to the surroundings, and protective measures such as blast mats, flyrock protection, exclusion zones and vibration and noise monitoring are planned in. See our Blasting Safety & Protection service.
What information do you need to prepare a quote?
The site location, drawings or the required excavation profile, approximate volumes, any geotechnical information on the rock, nearby structures or utilities, and your programme. If you don't have all of it yet, we can start from what you have.
Do you also handle rock support after excavation?
Yes. Rock bolting, wire mesh, shotcrete, grouting and slope stabilisation are covered by our Rock Support & Civil Engineering service, so excavation and support can be coordinated by one team.
